Covid-19 Update

Update on COVID-19 Procedures and Precautions. To protect our guests and staff we will have many procedures in place due to COVID-19. For any questions about these safety protocols please email us at [email protected]

We have taken enhanced safety measures for you, our staff and our volunteers. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Sawgrass Recreation Park.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that can lead to severe illness and death. Senior citizens and visitors with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable to this disease according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

By visiting the Sawgrass Recreation Park you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

If your doctor has advised you that you are in a high-risk group, we ask that you not visit at this time. Please be safe and respectful of others while you enjoy your visit.

To our clients and customers, firstly I want to thank you for your continued business. I know that there is a great deal of concern about COVID-19. We share in those concerns; I want to review with you about the operational adjustments and enhancements on existing procedures that we currently have in place for everyone’s safety.

As many of you know we are a family owned and operated business, each and every one of our staff is a loved one to us and their safety and the safety of our customers is our top priority. We have always focused on cleanliness and food safety at our park as we welcome so many visitors each year from all over the globe. That being said we are now intensifying our procedures to ensure that our guests feel comforted knowing our staff is working hard to keep all surfaces clean and disinfected. We are encouraging all staff to take precautions and to remain at home if they are immune compromised or are exhibiting any symptoms at all. We are also encouraging our staff to pay attention to any guests who may be showing signs of illness. We have added additional hand sanitation stations throughout the park and as always, our guests are encouraged to wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. Our airboat adventures, exhibits and educational presentation areas all outdoors in the open air.

Caring for our animals has always been as important to us as our staff and visitors and their health and safety is of equal concern. All of our rescued and adopted reptiles remain healthy. As a precaution we will continue to check in on each of them several times daily and additionally we have an exotic vet on standby. We don’t however anticipate this being an issue for them. We have stockpiled additional foods and medications for them in the event that supplies become limited.

If you have an existing reservation look forward to seeing you and want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to provide the safest experience possible. We will adjust operationally should any further changes be recommended by our state or government so please call prior to arrival for your tour for the latest details. If you need to change or cancel a reservation or would like to reschedule for a later time please feel free to reach out to us at 954-389-0202, or [email protected].
