The airboat tours at Sawgrass Recreation Park allow you to see nature at its very best. Either before or after your airboat tour, you'll have plenty of time to explore the habitats at Sawgrass Recreation Park. Our park is home for several species of animals in the Everglades, ranging from our ducks, chickens and rabbits to Cannibal, our 1,200 pound American Alligator.
In addition to the diverse menagerie that lives here at Sawgrass year-round, our friends at Predators Unlimited bring groups of exotic animals in for visits every day. Their exhibits include native Everglades wildlife and other exotic animals from far beyond, including panthers, tigers and birds of prey. Whether you're in our park or on our airboats, you can look forward to rare close encounters with multiple exotic animal species when you visit Sawgrass Recreation Park. One of the most exciting Everglades wildlife experiences is our Red Eye Tour, an after-dark airboat ride through our surrounding rivers. These tours provide some of the best opportunities to catch the enormous, nocturnal American Alligator as it prowls through its natural habitat.
