Eco Productions At Sawgrass Recreation Park

Sawgrass Recreation Park has teamed up with three area hotels, the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center and Spa, the Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport South, and the Hyatt Summerfield Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport South to provide filming accessibility for eco-friendly productions.

Opened in 1971, Sawgrass Recreation Park provides Airboat Everglades Tours through Florida’s most unique treasure, the Everglades. At Sawgrass Recreation Park, a glimpse of the subtropical ecosystem can be seen on Airboat Everglades Tours that glide across the miles of “the river of grass,” and bring guests close to native wildlife, many of which are endangered. On land, Sawgrass Recreation Park has an array of alligators, crocodiles, and native animals that live in the Everglades. A partner with the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission, many of the animals are brought to the park for adoption.

Sawgrass Recreation Park has hosted a number of film and tape productions including:

ABC Network’s, “Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin,” Animal Planet’s, “Swamp Wars,” Logo Network’s, “Bump,” Telemundo Network, WTVJ-TV/NBC’s campaign, “I am Miami,” among many others.
The hotels and Sawgrass Recreation Park have collaborated on the following rates and amenities available to any film and tape group staying at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center and Spa, Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport South, or Hyatt Summerfield Airport South.
