The birds of the Everglades are some of the most interesting and colorful creatures you'll encounter during your adventure. The airboats we use to escort you through the marshland offer great views of the sky where you're likely to catch spoonbills, Great Blue Herons, White Ibis and other birds soaring overhead. And closer to the water, you can also find our American Alligators in the Everglades, a thriving natural habitat for these dinosaur descendants. Once you've taken the guided airboat tour and spent some time getting to know the wildlife in our animal exhibits, it doesn't mean that the fun is over. There are still plenty of other opportunities to explore the South Florida Everglades at Sawgrass Recreation Park. You can rent one of our john boats and pick up some bait and tackle in our store for exciting fishing expeditions throughout our area. Afterward, you can continue to get back to nature by camping out in our RV site, watching the birds of the Everglades during the day and the bright, shining stars throughout the night.
